Constitution Party Conventions and Continuing Thoughts

5/8/2010 I had an amazing time at the Minnesota Constitution Party Convention. This is the only political event I have ever been to that has an open Heaven, God presence was palpable.

5/22/2010 Rosemary Franzen - What a wonderful public servant, working full-time for the citizens of Crow Wing County as opposed to some of "liberal" board members who treat being a county commissioner as a part-time job, not committing full time and effort to the task.

5/26/2010 I was at prayer at my church this morning, and God spoke to me about why He wants me to conduct this campaign. There is much anger about the situation in the country, and I am finding this very much so as I talk with people as I collect signatures on my petition. The anger is fanned by people like Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage and many others on talk radio and TV.  The calling is to help people turn from their anger, and turn to God. The battle is His, and we can find peace by giving Him our anger. Many people who are angry and disillusioned by the situation in our country, and do not have a relationship with God. Much of my campaign and my responsibility if elected will be in this area. I covet your prayer and any pray covering you can give me since the Enemy would make rather keep principled people out of office, the population angry and unconnected with God. Unfortunately this also apples to some members of the Constitution Party to whom I am also called to minister. Only in Him can we find real principles and peace for our situation.

♠During my Bible Time, this morning, I was directed by the lectionary to Joshua 1: 1-9 . This spoke to me of the fact that the Battle is the Lord's and He assures us of the ability to claim the "land", places where we walk, if we will follow his "Law", and His Principles. Also to "Be Strong and very Courageous... Do not turn away from the law and you will be successful in everything you do... Do not be afraid or discouraged." I was also directed to read Psalm 44, which also spoke to following the Lord, and not following the Lord, which seems to the plight our nation is in these days.

This was a great encouragement to me, for the task We have before us is a very challenging one, and I occasionally can feel fearful and discouraged as I go door to door talking with people. Turning this area and the nation back to the Principles of the Constitution  to the Lord, and his peace and joy is a very great one.

  1. I attended a meeting on July 9 with the Foundation Center, offering help in connecting non-profits with foundations for funding. This would be a key element in my campaign to reform the present welfare system. When elected I pledge to work with non-profits to find more funding to move benevolence to a local level with local non-profits who have better accountability and more efficient use of funds.
